notes from when i saw the guggenheim last week:

"when frank lloyd wright designed the guggenheim museum, he was "frank lloyd wrong" about one very important thing. you see, the middle spiral staircase? it's missing a giant clear plastic slide in the center of the empty space. i think that would improve the quality of the art, if one could see it while whizzing by at dangerous speeds. and the passersby would see little people zooming against clear plastic, so that it looked like they were spiralling like maple seeds in the air."
